As a Nephrologist you will: - Provide inpatient and outpatient nephrology consultation services. - Refer patients to other specialty clinics, as required, for further evaluation either on outpatient or inpatient basis to determine the best diagnosis and treatment. - Order and interpret laboratory tests and x-rays, necessary to complete medical evaluations of cases. - Participate in the medical and allied health education programs. - Responsible for over-site of medical care given by midlevel providers working on the Inpatient Medicine Service. - Interface with military healthcare providers in the long-term management of transplant patients who have returned to network healthcare. - Guide, instruct, and train trainees in the medical and allied health education programs.
