Skilled Nursing Facility in the
Rockland County area is hiring a Food Service Director.
Job Responsibilities: - Oversee, delegate, and evaluate the work of Food Service Staff.
- Manage staff scheduling, and prepare department payroll data as necessary.
- Supervise the proper storage and handling of food and supplies.
- Ensure the cleanliness of kitchen, storage, dining areas, and equipment.
- Inspect Resident trays to ensure adherence to the specified menu.
- Assist with tray line operations during mealtimes, as needed.
- Plan and coordinate food preparation for special events.
- Handle food ordering and purchasing tasks.
- Lead staff training and orientation programs.
Job Requirements: - Certification in CDM is required.
- A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in food service within Long-Term Care settings is strongly preferred.
- SERV Safe or Sodexo certification is preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of large-scale and therapeutic food preparation.
- Strong leadership and supervisory abilities.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
