We are seeking a highly organized and analytical Fleet Planner to join our dynamic team in Boston, United States. As a Fleet Planner, you will play a crucial role in optimizing our vehicle fleet operations, ensuring efficiency, and maintaining high standards of service. Hourly rate $23.25

  • Develop and implement strategic fleet plans to maximize vehicle utilization and minimize costs
  • Monitor and analyze fleet performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions
  • Coordinate vehicle maintenance schedules and oversee repair processes to ensure optimal fleet condition
  • Manage vehicle inventory, including acquisitions, disposals, and transfers between locations
  • Collaborate with various departments to forecast vehicle demand and adjust fleet size accordingly
  • Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company policies
  • Prepare and present regular reports on fleet performance and budget utilization
  • Identify and implement innovative solutions to enhance fleet efficiency and reduce environmental impact
  • Manage relationships with vendors, suppliers, and service providers
  • Respond promptly to any fleet-related issues or emergencies
  • Optimize routes using advanced planning techniques and GPS tracking systems
  • Develop and implement fuel management strategies to reduce costs and environmental impact
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in fleet management or a related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and fleet management software
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Excellent organizational abilities and time management skills
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Understanding of vehicle maintenance schedules and basic mechanical knowledge
  • Familiarity with transportation regulations and industry best practices
  • Knowledge of route optimization techniques and GPS tracking systems
  • Understanding of fuel management strategies
  • Adaptability to changing priorities and ability to work under pressure
  • Strong teamwork skills and ability to collaborate across departments
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Continuous learner with a passion for staying updated on industry trends and technologies
