Summary/objective: We are looking for a skilled and detail oriented Software Engineer to join our team. This role is essential for bridging the gap between technology and finance, focusing on system integrations, process automation, and data management. Candidates must have extensive experience with API integrations and SQL. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with NetSuite, Shopify, Shipstation, and Boomi APIs and tooling., They should possess a strong understanding of accounting principles, and have a passion for streamlining financial workflows. Essential functions Collaborate with Accounting Team: Work closely with accounting stakeholders to understand financial processes, requirements, and workflows. Integrate Accounting Systems: Maintain and develop integrations between Netsuite, Shopify, Shipstation and potentially other financial tools using Boomi. Automate Financial Workflows: Identify areas within accounting that can benefit from automation; build and deploy solutions to improve efficiency and reduce manual tasks. Troubleshoot & Support: Provide technical support for integration issues, diagnose errors, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve data inconsistencies. Documentation & Compliance: Create and maintain clear technical documentation for integrations and workflows, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and data regulations. Must attend and contribute to regularly scheduled staff meetings. Proficiency in speaking, reading and writing in the English language required. Additional language proficiency is a plus. Detail-oriented perspective and able to pick up on overlooked details. Organization and time management. Able to maintain confidentiality of information. Must be able to manage multiple assignments, set priorities, and adapt to changing conditions. Resourceful and able to problem-solve and manage tasks with ambiguity. Willing to perform an array of tasks both in and out of the office. Can take feedback to tasks and assignments positively and create better solutions. A quick study, able to pick up new skills and learn how to use new programs. Must participate in setting and achieving regularly scheduled and outlined objectives. Ability to take individual ownership, execute with high energy, share context, insist on candor with positive intent. Required education and experience Bachelor's Degree or equivalent 3+ years in software engineering with a focus on system integrations. 3+ years experience with SQL and data modeling, preferably in accounting business domains. 3+ years experience in Python, Node, or Elixir. Proficient in Excel. Familiarity with APIs, RESTful services, and JSON. Preferred education and experience Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field Proficient in Boomi for designing, developing, and deploying integrations. Experience with accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) $121,000 - $147,000 a year Commensurate with experience and scope of responsibility. Perks at Angel:
