Job Overview

Granite Bank is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Final Docs Specialist to join our team. This role is crucial in managing and processing final mortgage documents, ensuring compliance with investor guidelines, and maintaining accurate records in our loan origination system.

Essential Responsibilities & Duties

  • Process incoming mail of trailing documents
  • Scan & upload final documents to loan origination system
  • Data entry based on types of documents received
  • Communicate with correspondent lenders regarding outstanding final documents
  • Communicate with title companies regarding outstanding final documents
  • Respond to final document requests from Investors in a timely manner
  • Ship final documents to investors or document custodians per investor guidelines
  • Process final document submissions via paper file or electronic submission
  • Attach Documents to Final Document Conditions in Loan Origination Software
  • Identifying and track outstanding mortgage documents

Other Duties, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to handle a high volume of emails in Microsoft Outlook
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to input data accurately and efficiently into computer software systems
  • Ability to exchange information and to report facts and technical information clearly and concisely
  • Ability to attend accurately to many details in a timely manner
  • Ability to comprehend the consequences of various problem situations and to refer them to the appropriate people for resolution
  • Ability to resolve questions and problems with the supervisor and manage personal workflow and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic understanding of Encompass Loan Origination Software
  • Intermediate knowledge of Long Form and Short Form Title Policies
  • Intermediate knowledge of county recording information and property types

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Prior experience in mortgage documentation or a related field preferred
