Job Description
Job Overview:
We are seeking reliable delivery drivers or "runners" to join our team. The delivery driver will be responsible for transporting goods in a safe, timely manner to customers' locations.
Duties:
- Load and unload goods from the delivery vehicle
- Drive vehicles to designated destinations for customer deliveries
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries
- Utilize a hand truck (dolly) to handle heavy loads
- Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams regarding delivery schedules (including phone calls and in-person)
- Utilize box trucks or vans for transportation
- Perform heavy lifting as required in the delivery process in a safe and healthy way.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and traffic laws
Runners assist the driver in these functions and must also communicate well with the larger team, FedEx staff and customers.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred. No experience is required, but preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and planning on a personal and interpersonal level
