Position Summary We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented
Fashion Designer with extensive expertise in
women’s athletic apparel to join our team. This role will be responsible for the end-to-end design process, from conceptualization to final production, ensuring that each piece meets our high standards of fit, quality, and performance.
Essential Responsibilities - Creative Product Development: Design and develop innovative athletic apparel collections aligned with brand vision.
- Project Management: Track and manage design projects to meet deadlines and ensure timely deliveries.
- Technical Illustration & Tech Packs: Create detailed technical sketches and comprehensive tech packs for manufacturers.
- Manufacturer Communication: Collaborate with manufacturers to ensure accurate execution of designs, fit, and materials.
- Brand Standards & Quality Control: Maintain consistency in fit, function, and aesthetic while ensuring high-quality production standards.
- Fit & Performance Testing: Conduct daily fit sessions on live models and provide efficient feedback to improve product fit and functionality.
- Material & Color Development: Approve lab dips, color swatches, and fabric selections to maintain brand consistency.
- Deadline Management: Adhere to strict production timelines and proactively resolve any delays or challenges.
Required Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in live model fittings and apparel design, specifically in women’s athletic wear.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and other design software for technical sketches and spec sheets.
- Strong understanding of pattern making, grading, and garment construction methods.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving and creative design solutions.
- Receptive to feedback and critique, with the ability to make adjustments efficiently.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications - Experience working with performance fabrics and activewear-specific construction techniques.
- Knowledge of sustainable and ethical manufacturing practices.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
