Join to apply for the F-35 Quality Manager - Japan -Level 5 role at Lockheed Martin In-Country Quality Leader for the F-35 Quality & Mission Success organization located at the F-35 facility in Nagoya, Japan. The scope of this role includes day‑to‑day quality leadership for Final Assembly & Check Out (FACO) as well as Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul & Upgrade (MROU). Responsibilities include providing technical assistance and advisement related to QA policies, procedures for tools, parts, assemblies, and complete aircraft operations, and practices related to quality oversight in manufacturing and field operations environments. Responsibilities Lead day‑to‑day direction as the on‑site lead for all LM Aero Quality and Mission Success organization personnel at Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI), including supplier, production & sustainment quality. Provide technical assistance to MHI in developing procedures and processes for material acceptance, material recall, inspection requirements and customer product acceptance, including aircraft and support equipment as applicable. Communicate and coordinate with LM‑Aero, MHI, and DCMA/Japan Ministry of Defense personnel to ensure compliance with contractual quality requirements. Ensure that MHI meets quality requirements and drives necessary action with the LM & MHI team to meet targets. Assist MHI with the identification, development and coordination of corrective and preventive action. Assist with data reconciliation and aircraft presentation to the customer for in‑process assessments and final DD250. Interface within a multi‑organizational environment, supporting the Technical Assist Team in Japan, all levels of management both on site and in Fort Worth, technical subject matter experts, production, sustainment and flight operations personnel, and customer representatives.
