Job Description

The C & I Commercial Banker must be willing to interview commercial loan applicants and make credit decisions within established guidelines. Process loan applications, maintain customer relationships including related consumer loans and deposits. Maintain and service Commercial Loans, including collection efforts and Deposit Pipelines. PROVIDE ENHANCED CLIENT SERVICE Continuously meet client and coworker expectations and established goals by serving clients and coworkers under Bank service standards. Discover client needs, develop solutions, and implement plans to exceed expectations. Respond to inquiries, manage relationships, and resolve problems to deliver an exceptional banking experience. FOSTER OUR CULTURE Maintain a positive approach in managing change, demonstrating excellent communication skills through effective conversations and collaboration. Support volunteerism in the local community, increase outreach, and cultivate new business opportunities. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Promote products and services, refer customers to various banking segments, and be responsible for loan originations, deposit gathering, fee income, and referrals. Use Loan Vantage proficiently to produce quality loan presentations for approval by senior management or loan committees. Responsibilities include: Interview applicants and gather information for loan applications. Analyze financial status, credit, and property evaluations to determine loan feasibility, working with credit analysts. Request and review credit reports, background checks, and references; communicate with applicants and creditors. Compile loan packages, discuss loan structures, fees, repayment options, and terms with applicants. Approve loans within limits or refer to the loan committee. Ensure accuracy and completeness of loan documentation and facilitate timely closing and funding. Work closely with Credit Administration and Portfolio Managers to ensure proper underwriting and documentation. Report external factors affecting lending policies and recommend policy updates. Supervise portfolio management, assist borrowers with repayment, and detect potential issues early. Exercise prudent spending and submit expense reports timely. Represent the bank professionally and engage in community leadership and involvement. Report to the office daily unless off-site meetings are scheduled, in which case the team should be informed. Requirements QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE Must perform duties satisfactorily; background screening will be conducted. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to interpret business and technical documents, communicate effectively in writing and verbally. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to work with financial documents, percentages, ratios, and apply mathematical concepts. REASONING ABILITY: Solve practical problems, interpret instructions, and handle variables in standard situations. PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT: Office-based with travel for client meetings, seminars, or training as needed.
