Location: Door County Jail, WI
Position: Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Master’s-Level Social Worker (MSW)
Schedule: Full-Time (40 hrs/week) | Flexible Day Schedule

What You’ll Do:

• Perform comprehensive mental health assessments using evidence-based tools and interviews

• Develop personalized treatment plans focused on stabilization, life skills, and re-entry preparation

• Deliver individual and group counseling on topics like trauma, substance use, anger management, and coping skills

• Collaborate with correctional staff, medical providers, and probation teams

• Provide referrals for continued care post-release

• Keep thorough documentation and contribute to a safe, supportive therapeutic environment

• Stay up to date on best practices in correctional behavioral health

What You Bring:

• Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related field

• Active licensure: LPC, MSW, or equivalent (required)

• Experience working with justice-involved or high-risk populations (preferred but not required)

• Strong interpersonal skills and emotional resilience

• Ability to work independently in a structured, secure setting

• Cultural humility and a desire to serve diverse populations

Bonus:

• Certification in correctional mental health or forensic treatment (a plus, but not required)

• Nurses with psych experience are also encouraged to apply
