Required Education and Experience: Successful completion of an accredited Echocardiography program. Previous experience with basic and cardiac ultrasound. A minimum of two years experience in a medically related field is desired. Must have credentials as either a Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS). CPR certification within 90 days of employment.
Preferred Education and Experience: Previous experience with vascular ultrasound.
Essential Functions
Performshigh quality echocardiographic examinations as ordered obtaining all data necessary for diagnosis
Correlates diagnosis to findings and investigates abnormalities
Input study information and technical findings into ProSolv accurately
Properly maintains equipment and work areas
Stocks supplies
Compiles data and statistics
Participate in weekly Echo Conference
Makes copies of studies for conference and records release
Keeps current on all trends and changes in the echo field
Makes appointments in the absence of the Echo Secretary
