The Ultrasound team takes pride in the staff we have and the care we provide at SLU Hospital. Our sonographers work alongside our Residents and Attendings, specifically our world renown liver and kidney transplant team who relies on our technical skills post operatively . We use GE Logiq E9 machines and typically scan abdomens, small parts, and gyn/first trimester ER’s. Convenient employee parking garage just across the street free of charge. Call requirement Echo – 5 days a month 

Job Summary:

Performs diagnostic ultrasound imaging studies in the echocardiography lab.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements:

Performs ultrasound procedures and examinations according to established department guidelines. 

Performs two dimensional, three-dimensional, m-mode, color flow, Doppler flow, ejection fraction, dobutamine and stress echocardiograms according to the Echo Lab policy and procedures manual and standards set forth by the Intersocietal Commission for Accreditation of Echocardiography Laboratories. 

DISCLAIMER: Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Job Specifications

Minimum Education :

Echocardiography Department: Graduate of an Allied Health program in Echocardiography/Cardiac Imaging

Minimum Experience:

Echocardiography Department: Registered (RDCS and /or RCS)

Required Course: (licensure/certification)

Echocardiography Department : BLS, Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through CCI or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer through ARDMS

REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL LICENSE AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS
Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)

• And
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) - Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
• Or
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) with Adult Echocardiography (AE) Specialty - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
