This position reports to

Technical Training Manager

Your role and responsibilities

The ABB Field Service Development program provides a 12-month extensive training initiative, enabling participants to gain exposure and practical experience in various Power Delivery applications (Installation/Commissioning, Maintenance/Repairs, Retrofits) as well as advanced Field Service functions (Power System Studies, Protective Relays, Project Management, Data Center startups). Following the completion of the program, participants will enter the Associate Field Service Technician role. As part of our ABB Field Service Early Career Development program, you will: • Show independence with limited guidance, seeking resources as needed to generate solutions. • Have proficient analytical and mechanical skills to solve complex issues. • Able to read technical drawings and schematics. • Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office products, ability to learn other software products. • Must have excellent driver record and valid driver’s license. • Customer service skills providing professional image. • Ability to travel 70% and work extended hours as required by customers.

Qualifications for the role

• Candidates shall have a High School diploma/GED with 4 years of related experience, or associate’s degree with 2 years of experience, or Bachelor’s degree.
• Ability and willingness to travel approximately 70% as required.
• Ability and willingness to possess and maintain a valid passport and driver's license (or other US government ID cards, as needed).
• Exhibited strong interpersonal and leadership abilities.
• Displays clear understanding of sense of urgency and care.
• Customer service oriented & ability to build strong customer relationships.
• Executes work on a first-time right approach, on time and high-quality standards.
• Submit to periodic customer required background and/or drug screenings.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
