Job Description

Responsibilities

• Teach two sections of ninth grade Dance on a rotating schedule from November-January
• Coach Upper School dance team (3 days/week 3:30-5:30) from November-February
• Coach Middle School dance team (2 days/week 3:30-5:30) from November-February

• Bachelor’s Degree 
• Experience teaching and performing various genres of dance in studio or school settings
• A passion for teaching and learning
• Excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal, and time management skills
• Demonstrated ability to connect with and make a positive impact on young people
• The ability to communicate and work effectively with students, parents, teachers, administrators, and staff
• Willingness to engage with and learn from people with diverse backgrounds and experiences
• Commitment to building a diverse, equitable, and inclusive school community; experience in and demonstrated commitment to equity and inclusion work that supports a diverse community preferred
• Appreciation of and commitment to single gender education
• Eagerness to contribute positively to the SHA community and uphold its Mission including a commitment to the Sacred Heart Goals and Criteria

• Ability to bring joy, kindness, maturity, and flexibility to the school environment
