Job Title: Senior Cyber Cloud Engineer (Remote - Ideally New York Based)

Role Overview:

As a Senior Cyber Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud security infrastructure, with a focus on protecting critical financial data and ensuring the integrity of our SaaS platform. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and address security risks and develop scalable security solutions for their cloud-based products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage cloud security systems and infrastructure across various platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.).
  • Lead efforts to assess and mitigate risks within our cloud environments, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate security measures into the SDLC and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Provide expertise in cloud security best practices, assisting with vulnerability management and incident response.
  • Conduct regular security audits, penetration testing, and threat assessments to identify potential risks.
  • Stay up-to-date on emerging threats and security technologies, recommending improvements and solutions to keep systems secure.
  • Support a culture of continuous improvement in security practices across the organization.

What They're Looking For:

  • 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on cloud infrastructure and security.
  • Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Strong knowledge of security frameworks, such as NIST, ISO 27001, and SOC 2.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud security tools (CloudTrail, GuardDuty, Azure Security Center, etc.).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.) for automation and tool integration.
  • Strong understanding of vulnerability management, encryption technologies, and incident response.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote, cross-functional team environment.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, AWS Certified Security Specialty, etc.) are highly preferred.
