How You’ll Make An Impact You will work with the Music Programming team to create superior radio programs, support creative processes, content development, and production. You will exercise both creative and technical skills, including editing materials and operating audio equipment. You may be assigned to multiple programs and perform various functions across channels. What You’ll Do Receive daily assignments from the Manager, Music Programming Operations, and Program Directors. Learn and operate music scheduling software and automation systems. Edit audio, perform fades, and insert digital markers to enhance sound quality based on content and genre. Load audio elements into the automation system and enter royalty-related song information. Handle listener requests and calls via electronic webmail. Provide on-air hosts with daily music logs and updated talent schedules. Monitor specialty programming for content and technical quality, verify start times, and prepare content for On Demand. Serve as an In-Studio Producer to ensure smooth live broadcasts, managing audio levels, cues, and troubleshooting. Assist in writing station imaging, promos, and selecting music, as needed. Record and archive Artist IDs and Interviews. Support music projects by compiling research data and learning data interpretation. Participate in music meetings, monitor charts, trade journals, and sales figures to stay informed about formats. Act as a liaison to music artists during visits and communicate with music labels, as directed. What You’ll Need Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. 6-12 months of experience in music programming at satellite, commercial, or college radio stations. Strong interest in learning all aspects of music programming and growth into a Program Director role. Passion for music and pop culture. Good public speaking and presentation skills. Interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with staff at all levels. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Professional demeanor over the phone and in person. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Initiative and follow-through on projects. Creative writing skills. Excellent time management, prioritization, and adaptability to shifting deadlines.
