Class A Local Driver CDL-A Job

• All driving is done along the Front Range from Castle Rock to Fort Collins
• We operate 2014 or Newer Tractors.
• No overnight stays.
• No mountain driving.
• 95% of moves are drop and hooks.
• No ramp deliveries.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Drives any combination of vehicle with a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of 26,001 pounds or more and the GVWR of the vehicle(s) being towed are in excess of 10,000 pounds. May also drive any vehicle requiring a Class B, Class C or Class R driver’s license.
2. Inspect tractor trailer equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, fuel. Oil and water before and after trips. Submits a trip report indicating tractor and trailer condition, safety issues, and/or defects.
3. Drives tractor trailers to stores and landfill, drops and picks up trailers, trash, and donations; and returns them to plant.
4. Drives tractor trailer out to ACC trailers at night and changes out trailers as needed.
5. Drives tractor trailers to repair shop as required. Moves trailers in the yard as required. rives empty trailers to storage as required.
6. Assists in the loading and unloading of trailers on the dock, at the stores and ACC sites.
7. Delivers mail pouches daily and any other items designated to that store.
8. Obeys road signs and symbols, traffic laws, appropriate use of lights, weights and height limits of vehicle, and speed limits. Speed should be consistent with existing road, traffic and weather conditions.
9. Obeys all DOT regulations pertaining to drivers.
10. Maintains a drivers log and other records according to DOT regulations.
11. Builds and maintains effective quality working relationships with management, co-workers, customers and donors. Treats everyone with dignity and respect. Immediately advises supervisor of significant and unexpected problems. Promotes and demonstrates teamwork and cooperation.
12. Completes assignments and paperwork accurately and turns in after each run.
13. Takes direction from Dock Lead and/or management.
14. Safeguards all Goodwill property including donated goods. Reports and suspicious ehavior, incidents of theft or unauthorized possession/removal of Goodwill property.
15. Follows all Goodwill policies and procedures. Follows safety rules and regulations. Acts safely at all times.
16. Supports the best elements of our corporate culture while making culture change. Open to and supportive of new ideas and process improvement of systems and procedures.
17. Works flexible schedules, days, nights, overtime, weekends and holidays if required.
18. Drives on company business.
19. Performs other duties as assigned.
20. Delivers mail pouches daily and any other items designated to that store.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or GED preferred. Requires one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have the functional skills needed to perform the duties and responsibilities of the job.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must possess a current Colorado Class A driver’s license. Ability to be insured by organization’s insurance carrier. Ability to pass criminal background investigation.
Physical - Heavy Work: Lifting and Carrying objects weighing 20 pounds constantly, 30 pounds frequently, and 40 pounds occasionally to raise objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to- position requiring the substantial use of the upper extremities and back muscles. Pushing and Pulling: Using upper extremities to exert force in order to push, pull, draw, drag, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion exerting 20 pounds of force constantly, 40 pounds of force frequently, and 75 pounds of force occasionally. Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly. Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and make fine discriminations in sound. Standing: Standing in one location for an extended period of time. Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another. Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction. Fingering: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand or arm as in handling. Grasping: Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm. Feeling: Perceiving attributes of objects, such as size, shape, temperature or texture by touching with skin, particularly that of fingertips. Repetitive Motions: Uninterrupted repetitions of the wrists, hands, fingers, elbows, or shoulders. Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist using the lower extremities and back muscles. Kneeling: Bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees. Crouching: Bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine. Crawling: Moving about on hands and knees or hands and feet. Visual:. The worker is required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles, tractor trailers, forklifts, compactors, balers, etc.
