Our client is a forward-thinking engineering firm dedicated to delivering innovative and high-quality solutions. They are expanding their team to support exciting new projects and are seeking a skilled Draftsman with specialized expertise in Revit to join us in our Woodbury office.

Job Summary:

They are looking for a detail-oriented and proficient Draftsman with strong Revit (3D CAD Software) experience to contribute to our upcoming projects. This in-person role, based in Woodbury, will focus on creating precise technical drawings, 3D models, and documentation using Autodesk Revit, with a preference for skills demonstrated in an engineering capacity—ideally within a consulting environment. While general drafting experience is valued, the primary requirement is demonstrated skill and fluency in Revit, with approximately 2+ years of experience preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using Autodesk Revit for engineering-focused projects, such as structural, mechanical, or civil designs.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to translate design concepts into accurate Revit-based deliverables.
• Produce construction documents, schedules, and annotations within Revit to support project execution.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, engineering standards, and company protocols.
• Update and maintain Revit models as designs evolve, incorporating feedback and revisions efficiently.
• Assist in troubleshooting Revit-related issues and optimizing workflows for the team.
• Participate in project coordination meetings to align drafting efforts with overall project goals.

Required Qualifications:

• Proven expertise in Autodesk Revit (3D CAD Software) with approximately 2+ years of hands-on experience.
• Demonstrated Revit skills in an engineering capacity, preferably within a consulting environment.
• Strong understanding of Revit functionalities, including family creation, parametric modeling, and rendering.
• Ability to produce high-quality, accurate technical drawings and models in Revit with minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling) workflows and standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Must be able to work in-person at our Woodbury location.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with other drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD) is a plus but not required.
• Background in engineering consulting or related industries.
• Certification in Revit or BIM-related training is an advantage.
