About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Technology Officer to spearhead its transition into a new era of data-driven, robotics-enabled excellence in the heavy construction and contracting industry. The CTO will be responsible for crafting and executing a 3-5 year technology strategy, leading the deployment of autonomous and digital-twin solutions, and ensuring the integration of cutting-edge technologies such as AI, IoT, and cyber-physical security. This senior executive role demands a hands-on technologist with a strong business acumen, capable of driving innovation and change management at all levels of the organization. The successful candidate will be the architect of the company's technological evolution, with a focus on delivering safer, faster, and more profitable projects in challenging environments. Key responsibilities for the CTO include strategic leadership, automation and robotics deployment, digital construction, and data analytics. The role also involves innovation portfolio management, stakeholder enablement, and a strong emphasis on governance, security, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related STEM field, with a preference for an advanced degree. A minimum of 10 years' experience in progressive technology leadership roles, particularly within heavy civil, mining, energy, large EPC, aerospace, defense, or robotics environments, is required. The CTO must have a proven track record in deploying automation, IoT, and digital-twin solutions at scale, and be adept at leading and managing large, cross-functional technical teams. Strong communication skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to stay abreast of industry trends are essential for this role.
