About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to provide clinical oversight and leadership across all clinical service lines. The CMO will be responsible for supervising clinical department leaders, ensuring the integration of the company's strategy and priorities into clinical operations, and maintaining the productivity and quality of care delivered by clinicians. This role is pivotal in directing quality assurance, peer review, risk management, credentialing, and clinical policies, as well as in clinician recruitment efforts. The CMO will also work closely with the Executive Leadership Team to set and align the company's goals with its mission and vision. Candidates for the CMO position at the company must be board-certified in a medical specialty, with a preference for Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, or Ob/Gyn. A valid Physician's or Surgeon's License in the State of California with no disciplinary actions is required. The ideal candidate will have at least five years' of experience in a leadership position within a healthcare setting, with a minimum of two years' in a senior management role. Experience in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) and bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English are preferred. The CMO should have a strong background in medical and scientific treatment methods, public health medicine, and healthcare administration in a non-profit ambulatory care environment. The role demands a leader with the ability to influence, lead change, build relationships, and effectively communicate the company's vision and strategy.
