About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Compliance & Privacy Officer to lead its University-level compliance program. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and directing compliance and privacy programs, developing a comprehensive compliance strategy, and ensuring that the University adheres to the regulatory standards governing academic institutions. This role requires a deep understanding of the regulatory landscape, the ability to enhance and streamline compliance efforts, and a commitment to fostering a culture of proactive risk management. The CCPO will also be tasked with monitoring the external environment for compliance risks, engaging with various University functions to improve compliance monitoring, and managing the day-to-day operations of the conflict of interest and commitment program. Applicants for the Chief Compliance & Privacy Officer position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 8 years of related experience in a complex university or health system environment. A Master's degree and relevant certifications such as CCEP, CIA, or CIPP/US are preferred. The role demands strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, as well as the ability to influence at all levels and work with management. The CCPO will be accountable for staff and have some budgetary responsibility. Responsibilities also include maintaining the University's privacy program, coordinating with compliance risk owners, and overseeing the compliance hotline. The ideal candidate will be a proven leader, a team player, and have the ability to manage multiple compliance workstreams effectively.
