Position Details:

  • Title: CPA (Certified Public Accountant)
  • Location: On-site at our Long Island, NY office
  • Salary: $95,000 - $120,000 (based on experience)
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee  accounts payable (AP) accounts receivable (AR) , and  collections processes.
  • Maintain and optimize financial records using  QuickBooks .
  • Learn and manage the  Rev.IO billing system to streamline billing operations.
  • Develop and implement  budgets , monitor expenditures, and prepare accurate forecasts.
  • Maximize company savings by leveraging available  tax credits and implementing tax strategies.
  • Prepare and present all  financial statements, reports, and analyses to leadership.
  • Ensure full compliance with telecom tax regulations and oversee financial audits.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and enhance financial processes.

What We’re Looking For:

  • CPA Certification (required).
  • Expertise in  QuickBooks , with a strong background in AP/AR and collections.
  • Proficiency in financial planning, budgeting, and producing detailed financial reports.
  • Ability to identify and utilize tax credit opportunities.
  • Knowledge of billing systems (experience with Rev.IO is a plus).

Job Requirements:

Minimum Requirement:

General Accounting Experience:

Full-Cycle Bookkeeping Experience:
Demonstrated experience in managing full-cycle bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Microsoft Excel:
Strong skills in Excel, including the ability to create and manage spreadsheets, use formulas, and generate financial reports.
General Ledger Management:
Experience in managing and maintaining the general ledger, including posting journal entries and performing month-end and year-end close processes.
P&L Statements:
Ability to prepare, review, and analyze profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and other financial reports.
Budgeting:
Experience in creating and managing budgets, monitoring actuals vs. budget, and providing variance analysis.
Time Management:
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently, especially during busy periods like month-end or year-end closings.
Documentation:
Maintaining organized and accessible financial records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Communication Skills:
Internal Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with other departments, such as HR for payroll or management for financial reporting.
External Communication: Comfortable interacting with external parties, such as vendors, clients, and external accountants.
Confidentiality:
