Overview:
Position: Certified Prosthetist Orthotist (CPO)
Location: Poplar Bluff, MO
Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm
Compensation: $80,000 - $100,000/year, commensurate with experience
Incentives: $10,000 Bonus and student debt benefit program!
Our Prosthetics and Orthotics center in Poplar Bluff is hiring a compassionate and driven ABC Certified full-time Prosthetist Orthotist (CPO). The ideal candidate will oversee all stages of design, fabrication, fitting, and maintenance of prosthetic devices related to patients’ needs, as indicated by a physician. American Board Certified (ABC) certification in Prosthetics/Orthotics or the completion of a Residency Program in Prosthetics/Orthotics (Board Eligible), is required to be considered for this opportunity. Responsibilities:
Oversees all stages of design, fabrication, fitting and maintenance of orthotic/prosthetic devices related to patients’ needs, as indicated by a physician.
Assists physicians with the evaluation and analysis of the patient’s need for orthotic/prosthetic services.
Ensures proper patient management is consistent with established practices for orthotic/prosthetic care.
Identifies and reconciles issues/problems to ensure patient satisfaction with devices provided.
Ensures highest standards of patient care are provided to all patients, including but not limited to adequate follow-up with patients and physicians.
Reviews new techniques and materials to ensure the widest range of flexibility and services offered.
Maintains accurate documentation to clearly define goals, issues and solutions for each patient.
Provides administrative staff with information to conduct reimbursement activities.
Provides information to facility management to ensure proper management of inventory and materials.
Meets with physicians, case managers and other referral sources to market orthotics/prosthetics services and capabilities.
Provides on-call services, as necessary.
Recommends treatment options to physicians, when necessary.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university from a recognized Orthotics and Prosthetics school.
American Board Certified (ABC) certification in Orthotics Prosthetics required.
Minimum of one (1) year experience in providing orthotic services under the supervision of a certified practitioner.
