About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Senior Carrier Sales Representative. You'll be managing relationships with carriers and negotiating rates for the customer freight. We’re looking for someone with solid logistics experience, great communication skills, and who can excel in a fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carrier Relationship Management : Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers to ensure reliable and cost-effective transportation solutions.
- Rate Negotiation : Negotiate competitive rates with carriers to maximize profitability while maintaining high service levels.
- Sourcing Carriers : Identify and onboard new carriers to expand our network and enhance service capabilities.
- Freight Booking : Coordinate Full Truckload (FTL) and flatbed freight bookings, ensuring optimal use of carrier resources and meeting client requirements.
- Freight Tracking : Monitor and track shipments from origin to destination, ensuring timely delivery and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Customer Service : Provide exceptional customer service to clients, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly and effectively.
- Market Analysis : Analyze market trends and carrier performance to make informed decisions and improve service offerings.
- Documentation : Ensure all shipment documentation is accurate and up-to-date, complying with all regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Experience : A minimum of 2 years of experience in carrier sales
- Flatbed familiarity is beneficial.
- Skills : Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency in freight management software.
- Attributes : Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
