Job Title: Buyer/Purchasing
Job Summary:
Responsible for sourcing, procuring, and managing the acquisition of electronic components and devices for the company. General responsibilities include, but are not limited to supplier selection, ensuring timely delivery of materials to meet production and operational needs. Monitoring inventory levels, and resolving any issues related to the purchase of these items. Highly collaborative role that requires a close working relationship with the engineering and operations teams to understand their needs and execute purchases accordingly.
Duties & Responsibilities: Key Responsibilities : \n - Monitor inventory levels of electronic components, coordinating purchases to maintain optimal stock levels, and minimizing shortages or excess inventory.
\n - \n I dentify and evaluate potential suppliers both national and international of electronic components and devices and negotiate pricing, favorable terms and contracts.
\n - Maintain accurate purchase records, including purchase orders, invoices, and supplier information.
\n - Manage the on-time placement of purchase orders (PO), track the flow of paperwork and appropriate approvals, and provide administrative support for tasks, and projects as requested by management.
\n - Work closely with national and international companies and logistics groups to ensure on-time receipt and delivery of purchased items.
\n - Utilize and maintain data within the existing PO System from initial PO entry through PO receipt and ensure accurate information is obtained from suppliers for data integrity.
\n - Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, monitoring their performance, and resolving any issues or discrepancies with contractual requirements to include cost and purchase item integrity.
\n - Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations in the purchasing process.
\n - Work with other departments, such as engineering, production, and quality control, to understand their needs and ensure timely delivery of materials.

Pre-Requisites / Skills / Experience Requirements: General Qualifications :
\n - One year of relevant job experience; or an associate's degree and minimum of two years of relevant job experience; or High School General Education diploma and 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
\n - Proven experience as a buyer or in a similar role, preferably with experience in the electronics industry.
\n - Strong knowledge of electronic components, their specifications, and industry standards.
\n - Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
\n - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
\n - Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
