Tradewind Recruitment is recruiting for a full- or part‑time Business and Economics Teacher (school will consider 3 or 4 days) to work at an exceptional private school on the outskirts of York. The position starts 12 January and is initially until 30 June, with the potential to become permanent if the candidate meets expectations. Salary ranges from £2 916 to £51 047 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. School hours are 08:30‑16:30, with one mandatory training session each week until approximately 18:30. School location is approximately 10 miles from York, commutable from North Yorkshire and Harrogate. The rural setting is best accessed by car; public transport options are limited. You will work with a strong department that values teaching academic subjects and has enthusiastic students. Responsibilities You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons in Business Studies, Economics or both to Key Stage 4 and 5 students. Existing lesson plans are already strong; your role will involve refining and expanding them to enhance student engagement. A PGCE in FE (Lifelong Learning) is encouraged; ECTs are welcome to apply and pursue up to two terms with a fully engaged mentor. Tradewind will support your development during and beyond placement through CPD via The National College. You will receive the same CPD as permanent staff and be encouraged to grow.
