Overview Band Director – High School – Long Term Sub at Chaminade College Preparatory, CA. The role leads the instrumental music portion of the Fine Arts Department at our West Hills campus and starts December 8, 2025 to March 2, 2026. Chaminade College Preparatory seeks a dynamic, innovative, and engaging Long Term Substitute Instrumental Music Instructor/Band Director who will guide the high school instrumental program and ensembles in alignment with our Catholic and Marianist traditions of living faith, academic excellence, and moral responsibility. Responsibilities Provide classroom instrumental music instruction and lead all instrumental performing groups, including multiple bands, ensembles, Drum Line, Color Guard, and various small ensembles. Manage programs with more than 100 students, coordinate parent organizations, oversee student travel, and handle significant fiscal responsibilities. Qualifications Bachelors degree in a related discipline required. A masters degree and/or teaching credential in the subject is preferred. Prior high school teaching experience in a Catholic educational setting is strongly preferred. Technology and School Context Chaminade is a 1:1 tablet school; faculty should be comfortable integrating technology to enhance student learning.
