Job Title: Bakery Clerk
Department: Bakery
JOB SUMMARY
To service customers, process special orders, maintain appearance and cleanliness of bakery case to ensure customer requirements are met.
RESPONSIBILITIES
(E=Essential A=Additional)
E Provide products and services that are competitively priced, meet the requirements of internal and external
customers at all times and abide by the Company’s Mission Statement.
E Maintain cleanliness of equipment, tables, utensils, floor (to ensure safety) and sanitation regulations are met.
E Wait on customers at bakery counter by greeting customer, getting the product they want from case or
department, packaging and pricing product and thanking customer.
E Package products for sale by removing product from trays, putting product in bag or box, printing label or
price and placing product on display area.
E Fill case by taking product off oven trays, placing it on display trays, be sure sign is correct and place in
bakery case.
A Slicing bread by placing loaves in slicer, packaging product, labeling package and place on display.
A Filling supplies by getting supplies from storage area.
A Taking customer orders for later purchase in person or over the phone by writing down the order on tablet
indicating product desired and date and time to be picked up.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Must be 18 years old.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
Ability to read and follow recipes/instructions
Verbal and written communicative skills
Basic math skills
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to reach and bend into case.
