We are seeking a highly skilled Automotive Controller to join our team. This is a strategic leadership role responsible for ensuring the financial health and integrity of our dealership. As the Automotive Controller, you will report directly to the Senior Controller and Accounting Director. You will manage daily financial operations and ensure accurate and timely reporting of the dealership’s financial condition. This role goes beyond traditional bookkeeping—it requires strategic oversight, rigorous attention to detail, and a deep understanding of dealership-specific accounting practices. Minimum Experience And Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration or equivalent work experience 3-5 years of automotive accounting experience Automotive dealership experience is a must Experience reviewing and analyzing P&L Job Knowledge/Skills Required Proficiency in dealer management systems (DMS) - Dealertrack experience preferred. Proficient in computerized accounting software Attention to detail Critical thinking skills – Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems Time management skills and ability to work under tight deadlines Ability to prepare financial statements Effective written and verbal communication skills Requirements Valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
