We're Hiring: Summer Camp Activity Specialist (K-5)

Our P.S.354 Summer Rising Program offers students enriching, club-like experiences that promote academic achievement and leadership skills. Position: Activity Specialist (K5)
Were seeking Activity Specialists with talent and enthusiasm in areas such as dance, drama, STEAM, sports or other enriching disciplines. This is a seasonal, in-person role ideal for educators, teaching artists, or youth development professionals who are passionate about engaging and inspiring students.This in-person, seasonal position runs from July 2 - August 15th and offers hands-on experience in education and youth development, with the potential for continued employment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise students and ensure a safe, positive environment.
• Support instruction in ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies.
• Assist with physical education, visual arts, and performing arts.
• Promote collaboration through group activities and research projects.
• Escort students between activities in a timely, orderly manner.
• Support certified staff with lesson planning and classroom prep.
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, activities, and incidents.
• Attend required trainings, meetings, and program evaluations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Site Program Director(s).

• Hours:3540 hours/week
• Schedule:July 2 August 15, MondayFriday (must be available full term)
• Minimum Requirements:High school diploma; interest in working with youth
