Duties and Responsibilities
  • Co-collaborator with undergraduate admissions leadership in the development, implementation, refinement, and results tracking of the Winning Recruitment Strategy.
  • Refine survey strategy to ensure feedback is gathered for each type of visit experience, while also focusing on tactics that increase responses, with the intent to apply learnings in real time.
  • Evaluate communication plans, in partnership with Marketing and Communications, to ensure target demographic is receiving the right message at the right time.
  • Establish a system of awareness for the entire undergraduate admissions team as it relates to a mass communication plan based on the season of recruitment.
  • Develop functionality and autonomy in Slate CRM, specifically in the Deliver tool.
  • Responsible for maintaining actionable dashboards, in partnership with the Data Analyst and Recruitment Success Managers, to put the sales team in the best position to prioritize work.
  • Partner with the Director to pursue regular touchpoints with key constituents across the college (Athletics, Conservatory, Aequitas) to ensure goals are met for each department and the prospective student experience with each office is above the line.
  • Partner with the Assistant Director of Multicultural Recruitment and the Director of the Wheaton College Summer Institute, along with the Director, to ensure Wheaton is leveraging its pre-college programs as pathways to Wheaton.
  • Evaluate and refine processes from a student's perspective, while ensuring operational effectiveness.
  • Build an alumni volunteer program that will engage alumni in the process of recruitment.
  • Launch targeted referral campaigns to bring in quality prospects (young alumni, parents of current students, current students, and recommenders).
  • Champion the onboarding experience for both first-year and transfer students by leading an audit of the experience from acceptance to move-in day (acceptance and award notification, class registration, Passage orientation, etc.).
  • Create and lead a small team of individuals through a continual assessment of Wheaton's web presence, sharing insights with the Director of Admissions as well as the Marketing team.
  • Participate in vender relationship meetings with admissions leadership
  • Leads weekly Hospitality Team meetings with the Visit and Event Coordinators.
  • In partnership with the Recruitment Success Managers, evaluate the needs of the Counselor Command Center to ensure it's being leveraged well by the sales team.
  • Establish robust reporting practices for the visit and event programming with the intent of putting a value on each aspect of the visit, even the team members and faculty involved, with an overall goal of confirming the value of a visit for different types of students based on their profile.
  • Maintain industry awareness when it comes to the trends and innovations in recruitment and financial aid, ensuring that Wheaton's recruitment efforts are of the highest caliber, maintaining the College's standards of ethics, integrity, and excellence.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience, with demonstrated competency in leadership, data analysis and leveraging, and sales.
  • A valid driver's license (without restrictions) with the ability to travel locally, regionally, and nationally as needed.
Physical Requirements

The employee is regularly required to sit, talk, or hear; frequently required to use repetitive hand motion, handle or feel, and to stand, walk, reach, bend or lift up to 10 pounds. The employee is occasionally required to travel by both air and ground.
