Overview Summary of Duties: Responsible for supervising day to day operations of the Entertainment Department. This is an Entertainer position. The Entertainer will ensure that all the shows are performed as instructed by the Entertainer Director and Sarasota Jungle Gardens. The Entertainer is required to publicly speak, entertain guests daily and report all incidents. Responsibilities Perform all shows "ON" and "OFF" property Perform care, diets and maintenance of behaviors of all animals in the Entertainment Department Perform training techniques and enrichments of animals and develop new behaviors Keep daily records on daily logs and read daily logs Ensure and maintain proper function of audio and visual equipment Follow company policy and procedure (handbook) Work with Education Department and Animal Departments Perform media events or programs Communicate schedule availability for the work week Rehearse shows and bring new ideas in development of new show programs Perform general maintenance of equipment and stage area Communicate to Director/Manager on a daily basis Report all incidents Cross training with other departments Qualifications 1 year professional experience in animal entertainment industry preferred Public speaking ability; 1 year entertainment experience Exhibits Good problem solving skills Physically able to perform the above duties without any physical limitations; must be able to lift 50 lb Skills in understanding animal behaviors and applying behavioral conditioning #J-18808-Ljbffr Sarasota Jungle Gardens
