ACTIVITY AIDE - Full-Time – Generations at Oakton Pavillion, Des Plaines, IL

Generations at Oakton Pavillion in Des Plaines IL, Seeks a Full-Time Activity Aide.

Immediate Opening! New Higher Rate of $15 per hour !

Monday - Friday, with Weekend Availability - 10am - 6pm

*Must be Open to Working on the Dementia Unit (will train)*

Responsibilities of the Activity Aide:

• Assist in planning, developing, implementing and evaluating activity programs within the facility

• Participate in discharge planning, development and implementation of activity care plans and residential assessments

• Implement current calendars of events in each wing

• Participate in community events related to the facility

• Visit and assist bed residents on a one-to-one basis

• Operate a bus for activity outings

• Distribute mail and newspapers to residents

of the Activity Aide:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• One year of Long-Term Care experience preferred
• Experience developing and leading group activities
• Ability to interact and socialize with people of all backgrounds
• Must speak, read, and write English
• Ability to complete appropriate charts and reports
• Maintain confidentiality of all residents’ information in compliance with HIPAA standards
• Must have valid Illinois Driver's License
• Must have compassion, patience, and understanding of older adults
